Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT
The bespoke design fee is payable with order before design is commenced.

The cost of production is charged separately to the bespoke design and payment in full is required after final proofs for production have been approved. Stationery production will not be carried out until payment has been received in full.

Chichi Designs accepts payments in pounds sterling by cash, PayPal, cheque or BACS transfer - details on request.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Orders cancelled after you have approved your proofs will be charged in full. Orders cancelled before production has commenced will be refunded in full less any costs incurred by Chichi Designs.

REFUNDS & REPLACEMENTS
Due to the personalised nature of each order Chichi Designs does not refund or replace unwanted goods. Please refer to our cancellation policy above.
In the event of faulty goods you should notify us immediately and certainly within 7 working days from receipt of your stationery and return your stationery to us in its original packaging.
Upon receipt of your stationery if it is deemed to be faulty on the part of Chichi Designs we will correct or replace your stationery with the same.
In the event that it is not possible to correct or replace your stationery with the same, Chichi Designs reserves the right to offer an alternative or similar replacement.
In the unlikely event that we are not able to correct or replace your stationery we will offer you a refund for the amount paid for the faulty part of your order. We will only offer you a full refund if your whole order is faulty.

Alternatively you may choose to keep any stationery deemed faulty on the part of Chichi Designs and we will discount it appropriately.

We cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred through any third party e.g through the post. Chichi Designs will naturally take special care when packaging stationery that is to be sent through the post so damage is very unlikely.

Chichi Designs print to order. Minor variations in colour, texture, size and positioning can occur and do not constitute a fault.
Laser cut stationery is very delicate, burning and fraying, and small areas torn or removed are part of the laser cutting process and do not constitute a fault.
If you ask us to undertake an unusual or experimental printing or production technique to achieve your desired stationery, Chichi Designs cannot be responsible for the outcome and no refunds will be given.
Chichi Designs cannot be liable for the cost of any additions to your stationery, such as calligraphy, that you have paid to have on faulty stationery.
No refunds will be given.

QUOTES
All quotes issued by Chichi Designs are valid for 30 days and are subject to sight of final text/maps/illustration requirements.

WORDING
Text should be typed clearly into a Microsoft Word, Apple Mac Pages document, or email and emailed to Chichi Designs.

Please type in upper and lower case as required, regardless of your chosen typeface.
Text not provided in the format referred to above will incur an administrative fee and will delay your order.

Chichi Designs is not responsible for typing, spelling or other errors in the text you have supplied.

PROOFS
We will provide you with up to 3 sets of proofs (2 rounds of changes) for your approval before printing.

Additional changes/proofs are charged at £15 each.

Proofs will be emailed to you as a black and white pdf file. At our discretion we may be able to provide you with printed colour proofs through the post. However, these will not be an exact match to your finished stationery due to the different printing methods involved.
You must print the file we send you, check it and ensure that you print your proof at the correct size. You should list any changes, in order, clearly, in a Microsoft Word document or email and email them to us (please refer to the proof we should make changes to by its file name).
When you are satisfied with your proof(s) you should email us your approval, listing the file names of the proof(s) you approve, in order for printing to commence.
Once your emailed approval to print has been received we will send your order to print.
If you make any changes to your proofs after your approval to print has been received you will be charged for these on the basis of time spent plus any costs incurred by Chichi Designs.
Chichi Designs cannot be responsible for any errors in your stationery not spotted by you at the proofing stage.

BESPOKE ILLUSTRATION/DESIGN/MONOGRAM
Bespoke illustrations/designs/monograms refers to any new illustration design or monogram that we create for your stationery as well as any tweaks, changes or amendments we make to our existing illustrations/designs/monograms, including our lasercut stationery.
Bespoke illustrations/designs/monograms are based on your requirements.
If you change your illustration/design/monogram requirements at any stage after you have placed your order this will be classed as a new illustration/design/monogram and you will be charged in full for this, as well as for any previous illustrations/designs/monograms.
All illustrations/designs/monograms remain the copyright of Chichi Designs and are not to be reproduced or transmitted in any form, by any means.
We reserve the right to adapt and use any illustrations/designs/monograms we have created for you on our advertising and marketing. We will not use your exact design for anyone else however, should you require exclusive rights to our designs and wish us to assign copyright we can discuss your requirements with you.

MAPS
To design your map we require you to provide us with an accurate digital map of the area you wish us to map. We will use a Google Map if you prefer and make it personal to your requirements.
If you change your map requirements at any stage after you have provided us with an accurate digital map this will be classed as a new map and you will be charged in full for this, as well as for any previous maps.

DEADLINES & RUSH SERVICE
For existing designs we will endeavour to provide you with proofs of your stationery 10 working days from receipt of your wording and cleared deposit.
If your order contains a bespoke illustration/design/monogram or map we will endeavour to provide you with proofs of your stationery 20 working days from receipt of your wording/digital map/illustration/design/monogram requirements and cleared deposit.
For existing designs without lasercutting, printing/production takes approximately 15 working days depending on your chosen printing/production method.
For existing designs with lasercutting, printing/production takes approximately 20 working days depending on your chosen printing/production method.
If your order includes a bespoke design or requires more than one printing/production method printing will take longer and will depend on your chosen printing/production method.
Subject to availability and for existing designs only, a Rush Service is available which will reduce the above proofing times by 5 working days and printing/production times by 5 working days. This will incur an additional Rush Fee of 10% of your total order.
If your order includes a bespoke illustration/design/monogram or map, or requires more than one printing/production method a Rush Service may be available at our discretion and we will advise you of our available rush proofing and printing/production times (which may vary from the above) for your order.
Subject to availability and for blank envelopes only Chichi Designs is able to offer an Early Envelope Service which despatches your envelopes before the rest of your order - once payment has been received.(A separate delivery charge will be incurred) You should advise us when ordering if you require our Rush Service or Early Envelopes.
We cannot be responsible for any delays in your order caused by circumstances beyond our control.
Chichi Designs cannot be liable for any costs incurred by you due to a delay in your order. All times are approximate and subject to change.

DELIVERY
We will deliver your order to you via an overnight or same day courier or postal service.
You will be advised of the cost of delivery at invoice stage.

COPYRIGHT INFORMATION
All designs are Copyright Chichi Designs. All rights are reserved. Designs are not to be reproduced or transmitted in any form, by any means without our prior written permission.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have obtained all necessary consents and permission in relation to any images, photographs and text that you ask us to include in your stationery.

MARKETING
We reserve the right to use any stationery we create for you to promote our products and services.

PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
Any information given during the course of enquiring, ordering and registration process is kept on our records. We keep this for administration and for future marketing initiatives. We do not sell or pass on to anyone. All information contained on our customers will remain confidential to Chichi Designs.
All data is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
Whilst every effort will be made to meet demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of an Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought or other causes beyond the control of Chichi Designs.

CHARGES AND FEES
Unless otherwise stated all additional work including proofs, consultations, illustrations, maps and our administrative fee, will be charged on the basis of time spent at a rate of £60 per hour plus expenses.
